  • Alma Stearinlys

    All Alma candles are handmade.

The wick is placed loosely inside the candle to ensure it burns straight down. After the candle is molded, a hole is drilled into it, and the wick is inserted. This process ensures the wick is perfectly centered, allowing you to get the most out of the wax.

Most candles have a plastic wrap, which should be left on when you light the candle. This wrap prevents the wax from dripping, even if the candle is placed outdoors or in a drafty area.

And this is precisely what has been important to Vance Kitira, and he has focused on it since he began producing candles in 1993. Vance Kitira has chosen to cast his candles from food-grade paraffin that is completely purified of impure particles, and a cotton wick made of 100% cotton. The result is both incredibly beautiful candles with a unique and clear glow, and candles without any carcinogenic particles. The candles are tested and certified at the SGS Laboratory in France.
