Lukas from Åsas Tomtebod

This vätte is named after one of Åsas grandchildren, Lukas, who's a nice and calm small boy with a will of his own.

And what is a vätte? Many people ask that question, which is to understand, since not many people have met them. They live in the forest in their burrows.

They are said only to exist in Småland in Sweden, and on www.tomtebod.se you can see pictures of them all.

The body is sewn of felt, and the hair and beards are real sheepskin/wool that varies between curly and straight, and come in many colours. Viktor is made in red, grey and white. Since all vätter is handmade, not two of them are fully alike. They are all completely unique.
