Simple Danish design with an unexpected twist

Novoform was founded in 2011 by Kristian Jakobsen in Aarhus with a clear starting point: to create products that are simple, aesthetically pleasing and worth keeping for many years. Jakobsen is a self-taught designer — free from dogma and formal constraints — and that shows in a design language that embraces clean Scandinavian simplicity while always adding a small, unexpected element that makes a product memorable.

Rooted in Scandinavian tradition

Novoform's collections draw inspiration from everyday life, the natural world and notable figures. Natural materials such as FSC-certified oak run throughout the range, lending products a warm, tactile quality. Colours are muted and timeless, and the design is always functional — never an element too many. It is this balance between tradition and fresh thinking that has earned Novoform recognition well beyond Denmark.

From wooden figurines to furniture

Novoform's range is remarkably broad. The brand is perhaps best known for its beloved wooden animals — including the iconic gorilla and sparrow figurines — but extends much further: bar stools and lounge chairs, shelving systems, pendant and table lamps, textiles and tableware.
